Restaurant - Bondy
A forty km north of Beirut, Byblos is one of the oldest still inhabited cities in the world (between 7000 and 9000 years of human presence on the same site).
It was at Byblos that the first writings were discovered. It was the Phoenicians who gave us our alphabet.
Mediterranean Port, Byblos is named in reference to the Greek papyri.
Tools older than 7000ans were discovered at the archaeological site.
Today, Byblos is a small town that lives mainly in tourism, as evidenced by the renovated souks and shops.
